Meet Anthony
My family has been part of the Haywood County community for generations.
I work at Biltmore Farms where I am the Director of Information Systems. I have worked for them for 24 years.
I currently serve on the Waynesville Town Council, I was first elected in 2019.
I currently serve as the Chair of the French Broad River MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization) and am on the Prioritization Subcommittee. I was able to get funding for the South Main Corridor reestablished after the NCDOT removed funding with acquisition date to begin on May 21, 2024.
I am the previous chair of the Haywood Healthcare Foundation, which was instrumental in building the new Health & Human Services building at Haywood Community College.
I served on the Town of Waynesville Planning Board for 4 years prior to being elected to Town Council.
I am also a previous board member for REACH of Haywood, which is a local 501(c)(3) nonĀ-profit organization that provides aid to victims-survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, and human trafficking.
I am an alumnus of the Duke University Leadership Program, which is a program that brings people of different political backgrounds together to discuss solutions to difficult issues.
I am proud to be the first out member of the LGBTQ community elected to the Board. I am the only member of the LGBTQ community serving as an elected official west of Buncombe County in Western North Carolina.
